The spring recital took place on Saturday 16th May at All Saints Church, Anchorsholme. Fifteen children aged 6 to 17, and eight adults took part. The afternoon was beautifully presented by Amanda Heaton. There were solo and duet pieces ranging from Baroque to contemporary, popular, jazz and film music. Each performer was presented with a certificate of achievement and a

single red rose by Maddy Hindley. Guest of honour, Mrs Marjorie Pennington, kindly delivered a closing speech. The recital was followed by coffee and cake.

 

One of Ruth's intermediate students played in the junior mid-day recital at Lytham Assembly Rooms on Friday 26th June. Aishah Rashid played a mini recital comprising of three contrasting pieces.

Featured composers included Beethoven, Edward MacDowell and Darius Brubeck.
